Overview

  • The Bilderberg Group If you have never heard of the Bilderberg group before, don’t worry; you are like many people out there. The Bilderberg group is made up of some of the world’s most powerful people. The members of the Bilderberg Group meet every year in a super secretive meeting with the intention of discussing plans for the future. At this annual meeting, only invitees are allowed in; no press, no minutes, and participants are asked never to quote one another. The shadowy group is said to be made up of 131 participants spread out from 21 countries in both Europe and North America. The Bilderberg Group has met every year since 1954 to plot and impose a one world order, according to some. In short, the Bilderberg Group is purported to be forming a shadow global government that is intended to supersede individual sovereignty with a government that is controlled by the corporate elite and where social order is enforced by the military. The influence of the group is far-reaching, and players impact various important areas of contemporary society including global politics, war, peace, business, and finance, as well as the control of the global finances. None of the members buy their way in and invitees are selected carefully by the Bilderberg Group’s Steering Committee. Some of the more familiar names that are linked to the Bilderberg Group include David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Bill Clinton, Gordon Brown, Angela Merkel, Ben Bernanke, Larry Summers, Tim Geithner, Lloyd Blankfein, Donald Rumsfeld, Rupert Murdoch, other heads of state, high-ranking senators, congressmen and parliamentarians, selected media figures Pentagon and NATO brass, members of European royalty, and invited elites – some  of whom are quietly invited by some accounts like Barack Obama, Donald Trump, as well as many of the President’s top officials. According to the regulations given by the Steering Committee, the guests are  not allowed to invite anyone else, not even wives or personal assistants. The attendees are also explicitly forbidden from divulging what is shared in the meeting with journalists, which then allows the guests to express their views freely in the knowledge that what is discussed cannot be divulged to the public. The attendees that are invited annually consist of around 80 powerful men and women while others are asked to return on an occasional basis. The most valued are typically asked to return while first-time attendees are usually invited based on their usefulness. For instance, Bill Clinton attended for the first time in 1991 and was later elected President on the next year.
